Answer:

14

Step-by-step explanation:

Sum of money = $ 200 .

Minimum he can leave $ 50 in his account .

So maximum he can take from the account = $ 200 - $ 50

= $ 150

This is because he can have minimum of $ 50 in account only when he takes $ 150 from his account .

Now cost of each pen is $ 10.5

Number of pens max he can buy = $ 150/$10.5

= 14.29

Number of pens cant be in decimal .

So we need to round down the value as it will be impossible to have 15 pens .

We need to round it down to 14 because that will be the maximum possible integer value .

Hence the maximum number of pens will be 14 .

{\huge {\mathfrak {Answer :-}}}

He can order x boxes.

This is a question from inequality, so, we write in inequality form,

Thus , 200 - 10.50x > 50

Or, 200 - 50 > 105x/10

Or, 150 > 105x/10

Or, 150 * 10/105 > x

Or, 1500/105 > x

Or, x < 14(approx)

➡️ Hence, the maximum number of boxes of pens that the assistant can buy is 14.

<i> That's it..
