In the modern days we mainly use A.C current for our domestic or commercial usage.

This A.C current is transmitted in high voltages from the electricial power plants,to prevent the power loss due to the conductor resistance.

And it is also economically beneficial for the power supplying companies due to the minimum power loss during the transmission process.
