no of pieces = 12
no of pieces left = 1/3×12
=4 pieces

no of pieces eaten =total no of pieces- no of pieces left

=12-4
=8

therefore 8 pieces of cake have been eaten .

it's best answer and correct also.
I'm sure please mark it as brainlist.

Dear Mate
Total Cake Cut = 12
So ⅓ pieces of 12
(12x1 = 12
when 12 divided by 3 = 4 )
Hence 4 pieces are still left
EAT THEM FAST BEFORE THEY FINISH
HOPE ITS TASTY

Naushu: just a joke
Naushu: so because 4 pieces are left
Naushu: so 12- 4 = 8
Naushu: hence 8 pieces are consumed
tejas2944: thank you so much for your answer
