A car covers Nagpur - Amravati 150 km distance in 3 hrs and 15 min. How much time
will it require to cover a distance of 250 km of Nagpur-Akola with the same speed ?
(1) 2 hrs. 15 min
(2) 3 hrs. 25 min

Nagpur to Amravati Distance=150 km

Time Taken to cover=3 hours 15 minutes

1 hour=60 minutes

15 minutes in Hour=15/60=1/4 hour

Time=(3+1/4) hours

=13/4 Hours

Speed=Distance÷Time

150 \div  \frac{13}{4}  \\  \\  = 150 \times  \frac{4}{13}  \\  \\  \frac{600}{13}

Speed=600/13 Km/h

Now Distance=250 km

Speed=600/13 km/h

Time=Distance÷Speed

250 \div  \frac{600}{13}  \\  \\ 250 \times  \frac{13}{600}  \\  \\  \frac{65}{12}  \\  \\ 5  \frac{5}{12}

5/12 Hour in minutes

 \frac{5}{12}  \times 60 \\  \\ 25

=25 minutes

Total Time Taken=5 hour 25 minutes
