A car has a momentum of 24 kg m s−1. What momentum would the car have if it had one-half the mass and was moving with twice the speed?

let speed = v

let mass = m

then, momentum = mv

according to question momentum is

mv = 24 kg m/s

if mass is halved and speed is doubled than momentum = m/2 × 2v

=mv

so, the momentum is same as before.
