Answer:-

s = 37.5m

Given :-

u = 18 km/hr

v = 36 km/hr

t = 5s

To find :-

The distance travelled by car.

Solution:-

First convert the velocity in m/s by multiply with 5/18.

u = 18 × 5/18

u = 5 m/s

v = 36 × 5/18

v = 2 × 5

v = 10 m/s

Now, We have to find acceleration,

 \huge \boxed{a = \dfrac{v-u}{t}}

 a = \dfrac{10 -5}{5}

 a = \dfrac{5}{5}

 a = 1m/s^2

Distance travelled by car is given by :-

 \huge \boxed{2as = v^2 - u^2}

 2\times 1 \times s = (10)^2 - (5)^2

 2 \times s = 100 - 25

 2s = 75

 s = \dfrac{75}{2}

 s = 37.5 m

hence,

The distance travelled by car is 37.5 m.
