Given :

  • Force = 2.5 × 10¹⁰ N

  • Speed = 5 m/s

  • Time taken = 2 minutes

= 2 × 60 sec

= 120 sec

To be calculated:

Calculate the work done?

Formula used:

  • Speed = Distance/Time

  • Work = Force × Distance

Solution:

We know that ,

Speed = Distance/Time

Substituting the values in the above formula, we get

⇒ 5 = Distance/120

⇒ Distance = 5 × 120

⇒ Distance = 600 m

Now,

Work = Force × Distance

☆ Putting the values in the above formula, we get

Work = 2.5 × 10¹⁰ × 6

= 15 × 10¹²

= 1.5 × 10¹³ J

Thus, the work done is 1.5 × 10¹³ joules.

Answer:

Force=2.5×10¹⁰N

Speed=displacement/Time

DISPLACEMENT =SPEED×TIME

D=5×120=600M

WORK = FS

2.5×10¹=1.5×10¹J
