Let Total distance travelled by X.

Distance covered with speed 20 km/h

= X/3

Distance covered with speed 60 km/h

= X-X/3=2X/3

Let T1 and t2 be the time taken to cover the distance x.

T1 = X/3/20 = X/60

T2 = 2X/3/60 = X/90

Speed(avg) = X/X/90 + X/60

= X/X/36

= 36 km/h
