A car is moving with a speed 90 km/homes comes to rest in 15min due to a constant force if the mass of the car is 2000kg calculate the retarding force

90 km/h = 90 × 5/18 m/s = 25 m/s

F = ma
= m × (v - u) / t
= 2000 kg × [(0 - 25) m/s] / (15 min × 60 s/min)
= -55.55 N
Here negative sign indicates that Force acting on car is in opposite direction of its motion.

∴ Retarding Force acting is 55.55 N
