a) velocity of the car will be 0 as it comes to rest when driver applied brake.
b)
u = 2 m/s
v = 0
t = 4 s
a = v - u /t
a = 0 -2 /4
a = -2/4
a = -0.5 m /s²
the deceleration of the car is - 0.5 m/s².
