Acceleration = 1.85 ms-2

Explanation:

Given:

Initial velocity u = 20 km/hr

Final velocity v = 60 km/hr

Time t = 6 seconds.

converting velocity to m/s; we get u = 20 * 1000 / (60 * 60) = 50 / 9 m/s

v = 60 * 1000 / (60 * 60) = 50 / 3 m/s

Acceleration in ms-2 = (v - u) / t = (50 / 3 - 50 / 9) / 6 = 100 / 54 = 1.85 ms-2
