a car of mass 1800kg, moving with a speed of 10/ms is brought to rest after covering a distance of 50m/s. calculate the force acting on the car?

here is your answer

given data :

mass = 1800 kg

initial velocity = 10 m/s

final velocity = 0

distance = 50 meter

to find : force

solution :

by using 3rd equation of motion

v² = u²-2as

0 = (10)²-2*a*50

100a = 100

a = 1m/s²

now, force = mass*acceleration

force = 1800*1

force = 1800 N
