a car travel at he speed of 30km/h from point A to point B and return back at the speed of 50km/h to point B to point A.find
-displacement of car
-distance travelled by car
-average speed of car

NischaySaxena: distance is 80
vaibhavc1: avg speed is 40, not 37.5

1. Displacement is defined as the minimum distance between initial and final point.

As the car returned to it's original position so initial and final positions are same.

So, Displacement = 0m

2. You have provided the speed of the car. You must also provide the time period for which the car travelled, to find out the distance between point A and B.

3. Average speed = (total distance/ total time taken)
Savg = (d+d)/((d/30)+(d/50))
Savg = 2d/(8d/150)
= (2dx150)/8d
= 300/8
= 37.5 km/h

priyanshupradhan: to write answer kya hai please boliya na
Prashant24IITBHU: see the answer now, I have updated
Prashant24IITBHU: is it cool now?
priyanshupradhan: thanks very much
priyanshupradhan: but what is the distance travelled by car
Prashant24IITBHU: uske liye time must be given
vaibhavc1: We can't find distance unless we find out the distance AB, or unless we know the time taken to cover distance AB
