average speed = total distance traveled

--------------------------------------

total time taken

total (s) = 10+20+30

total(t)= 5+10+10

as= 60/25

you can further calculate the rest to get answer in decimal

Answer:

The average speed of the car is 2.4m/s

Explanation:

Given that,

A car travels 10m in 5 seconds,20m in next 10sec and 30m in last 10sec.

We are required to find the average speed of car which is given by the relation

V_{avg}=\frac{Total  \: Distance}{Total  \: time}

Substituting the known values,we get the average speed as

V_{avg}=\frac{10m + 20m + 30m}{5s + 10s + 10s} =  \frac{60m}{25s}   \\ = 2.4ms {}^{ - 1}

Therefore,the average speed of the car is 2.4m/s
