Answer:

56.66km/hr

Explanation:

avg speed= total distance / total time

speed1= 50km , t1= 30min= 0.5hr

speed2= 30km , t2= 15min= 0.25hr

speed3= 70km , t3= 45min= 0.75hr

distance1= speed1* t1 = 25km

distance2= 7.5km

distance3= 52.5

total distance= d1+ d2+ d3 = 85km

and, total time= (0.5+0.25+0.75)hr = 1.50hr

thus, average speed= 85/ 1.50

= 56.66km/hr

hence, the average speed of the car is 56.66km/hr.

hope it helps you ....

Answer:

Explanation:

Average speed= total distance/ total time

Distance=speed*time

As the time given here is in minutes we first need to convert it to hours

30 minutes= 0.5 hours

15 minutes = 0.25 hours

45 minutes = 0.75 hours

Total time

= 30+15+45

=90minutes

=1.5 hours

Total distance= 50*0.5+30*0.25+70*0.75

Total distance=25+7.5+52.5

Total distance=85km

Average speed= 85/1.5

Average speed=56.667km/hr
