a car travels from stop A to stop B with the speed of 30 km per hour and then returns back to A with a speed of 50 km per hour.find the displacement of the car,distance travelled by the car, average speed of the car .

aashu004: what is the time taken???
Prashant24IITBHU: we cannot find out the time taken with the help of given information it must be given in the question itself.
pari252: time taken will be 2 hr
pari252: Prashant i had wriiten the correct question

Displacement is defined as the minimum distance between initial and final positions

As the car came back to it's initial position So, displacement = 0m

Distance = S1t1+S2t2
So, we require time period of the journey to find out the distance.

Avg speed =(total distance covered/total time taken)
=2d/((d/30)+(d/50))
=(2dx150)/(5d+3d)
=300d/8d
=37.5km/hr

pari252: its wrong answers
Prashant24IITBHU: what is the right one?
pari252: distance will be 80km
pari252: average speed will be 40km/hr
pari252: sorry dear i was wrong ....your answer is correct
