A car travels up a hill at a constant speed of 40 km/h and returns down the hill at a

constant speed of 60 km/h. Calculate the average speed for the round trip.

avg speed = 2 × s1 ×s2/s1+s2
=2×40×60/60+40=2×40×60/100=48km/hr average speed
