X is acetic acid or CH3COOH

Structure is in the picture

(a) Acetic acid reacts with ethanol to form ester in presence of conc.H2SO4
conc. H2SO4
CH3COOH + C2H5OH ----------------------> CH3COOC2H5 + H2O
Product formed is Ethyl ethanoate or ethyl acetate.

(b) Na2CO3 + 2CH3COOH ---------> 2CH3COONa + H2O + CO2
Carbon dioxide gas is evolved.
