★Given :
- No.of.revolutions made = 1500
- Distance = 4.5 kilometers.
★To find :
- Radius
★Solution :
Given that the carriage wheel travels 4.5 km,i.e,4500 m and makes 1500 revolutions. So,the circumference of the wheel will be total distance travelled by the wheel by the revolutions ingoing.
Circumference of circle:
→4500 / 1500
→3m
We know:
✦Circumference = 2πr
And we got circumference = 3m.Therefore,
→3 = 2πr
→r = 3/2π
→r = 3 / (2 × 3.142)
→r = 0.4774m
→r = 47.74 cm
Hence, the radius of the carriage wheel is 47.74 cm.
