A certain amount of money is divided among nine brothers. The second brother gets rs.2 more than twice the amount given to the first brother. The third brother gets rs.3 more than thrice the amount given to the first brother, and so on till the ninth brother. If the ratio of the amount with the ninth brother to the amount with the ninth brother to the amount with the first brother is 10:1, how much did the fifth brother get in

Let amount given to first brother = Rs x

Amount given to second brother = Rs (2 x +2)

Amount given to third brother = Rs (3 x +3)

Amount given to fourth brother = Rs (4 x +4)

Amount given to fifth brother = Rs (5 x +5)

Amount given to sixth brother = Rs (6 x +6)

Amount given to seventh brother = Rs (7 x +7)

Amount given to eight brother = Rs (8 x +8)

Amount given to Ninth brother = Rs (9 x +9)

→Ratio of amount with the ninth brother to the amount with the first brother is 10:1.

\frac{9x+9}{x} =\frac{10}{1}\\9x + 9 = 10 x\\10 x - 9x =9\\x=9

Amount Received by first brother = 5 × 9 +5= 45 + 5=  Rs 50
