Solution:

$T_{1/2}=\frac{0.693}{\lambda}$

Now,

$\lambda=\frac{0.693}{T_{1/2}}$

As we know,

⇒  $T_{avg}=\frac{1}{\lambda}$

On substituting the estimated value, we get

⇒          $=T_{1/2}\times \frac{1}{0.693}$

⇒          $=T_{1/2}\times 1.44$

⇒          $=30\times 1.44$

⇒          $=43.2 \ days$

So that the average life will be "43.2 days".
