Answer:

C.P. of 1 dozen articles = Rs. 450

Profit = 20%

∴ S.P. = {C.P. × (100 + Profit)}/100

= Rs. {450 × (100 + 20)}/100

= Rs. (450 × 120)/100

= Rs. 540

(i) ∴ S.P. of 1 article = Rs.540/12 = Rs.45

(ii) S.P. of 7 articles = Rs. 45 × 7 = Rs. 315

S.P = [C.P x (100 + profit%)]/100

⇒ [450 x (100+20)]/100

⇒ 450 x 120/100

⇒ 45 x 12

540

Selling price of 12 articles = 540.

(¡) S.P of 1 article = 540/12

45

(¡¡) S.P of Seven articles = 45 x 7

315
