A circle of radius 3 cm is cut out from a square piece of paper sheet of side 8 cm. What is the remaining area of the sheet?

area of square=8×8=64
area of circle=22/7×3×3=28.28
area of remaining sheet=64-28.28=35.72

Side of square sheet=8cm

Radius of circle =3cm


Area of remaining sheet = area of square - area of circle


Area of square = side x side

Area=8x8=64cm²


area \: of \: circle \:  = \pi {r}^{2}

= 22/7 x 3²

=22/7 x9

=198/7cm²


Area of remaining sheet =64-198/7

=(448-198)/7

=250/7 cm²

=35.71cm²
