A circular frame of area 15 sq.m. is placed in a uniform electric field of 30N/C with the plane of the frame making an angle of 30° with the direction of field. What is the electric flux through the frame?

Given:

Area of circular frame A  = 15 m^{2}

Electric field E = 30 \frac{N}{C}

The angle between plane of the frame and electric field is 30°

To Find: Electric flux,

From the formula of electric flux,

   \phi = E.A

   \phi = EA \cos \theta

Where \theta = angle between surface normal and electric field,

Here \theta = 90° - 30° = 60°

   \phi = EA\cos 60

   \phi = 30 \times 15 \cos 60

   \phi = 225 Vm

Therefore, the electric flux through the frame is 225 Vm
