Step-by-step explanation:

Given A circular well with radius 17.5 m has been dug in a corner of a field. The field is 80 m long and 50 m wide. Find the area of remaining field

  • According to question Area of whole field = l x b
  •                                                                         = 80 m x 50 m
  •                                                                          = 4000 sq m
  • We know that Area of circle (well) = π r^2
  •                                                            = 22/7 x 17.5 x 17.5
  •                                                           = 962.5 sq m
  • Therefore area of the remaining field will be 4000 – 962.5

                                                                          = 3037.5 sq m
