Hiii friend,

Diameter = 24 m

radius = D/2 = 24/2 = 12 m

Height of the cylindrical part = 11 m

Total height of tent = 16 m

Height of conical part = Total height- Height of cylindrical part = 16-11 = 5 m

Slant Height = ✓(h)² + (r)² = ✓(5)² + (12)² = ✓25+144 = ✓169 = 13 m

Therefore,

Area of canvas used to make the tent = CSA of the cylinder + CSA of the cone

=> 2πrh + πrl

=> [ (2 × 22/7 × 12 × 11) + (22/7 × 12 × 13)]

=> ( 5808/7 + 3432/7)

=> ( 829.71 + 490.28)

=> 1319.99 m²

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU...... :-)
