Dimensions of the cylindrical tank :

Height ( h ) = 1.4 cm

radius ( r ) = 56 cm

Metal sheet required = Total surface area

of the cylinder

= 2πr( r + h )

= 2×(22/7) × 56 [ 56 + 1.4 ]

= 2 × 22 × 8 × 57.4

= 20204.8 cm²

Therefore ,

Required metal sheet = 20204.8 cm²
