Area of cylinder= 2*22/7*3.5 (8+3.5)
= 11.5 X 22
=253m^2

Cost= 130 X 253
=Rs.32890

As we know that,

Formula of :

Total surface area of cylinder = 2πr(r + h).

Using this formula in this question, we get.

⇒ 2πr(r + h).

⇒ 2 x 22/7 x 3.5 x (3.5 + 8).

⇒ 2 x 22 x 0.5 x 11.5.

⇒ 44 x 0.5 x 11.5.

⇒ 253 m².

Area of metal sheet = 253 m².

Metal sheet required at the rate of 130 per m plate.

Area of metal sheet x Cost of 1 m² metal sheet.

⇒ 253 x 130 = 32890.

∴ Cost of metal sheets is ₹ 32890.
