THE EARTH IS CONSTANTLY TRYING TO FALL INTO THE SUN BUT IT KEEPS MISSING.AND THAT IS WHAT WE CALL IT AS ORBIT. THE SUN EXERTS AN ATTRACTIVE FORCE ON THE EARTH ,ACCELERATING DIRECTLY TOWARDS THE SUN. AND THIS ACCELERATION IS CONTINUOUSLY TAKING PLACE.
