Emf induced will be 0.04 volt

Explanation:

We have given inductance of the coil L=5mH=5\times 10^{-3}H

Current is changes from 0.1 A to 1.4 A

So change in current dI=4.1-0.1=4A

Time taken to change in current dt = 0.5 sec

We have to fond the emf

Emf will be equal to e=L\frac{dI}{dt}=5\times 10^{-3}\times \frac{4}{0.5}=5\times 10^{-3}\times 8=40\times 10^{-3}=0.04volt

Emf induced will be 0.04 volt
