a committee of 3 experts is to be selected out of a panel of 7 persons.,three of them are lawyer, three of them are c.a and 1 is both a c.a and a lawyer.in how many ways the committee be selected if it must have atleast a c.a and a lawyer​

Solution :

Given - The committee of 3 experts is to be chosen.

Then , ‘only CA member’ of the committee can be chosen in (3C1) = 3 ways.

Next , ‘only MBA member’ of the committee can be chosen in (3C1) = 3 ways.

The ‘third member’ of the committee can be chosen from the remaining 5 people in (5C1) = 5 ways.

Therefore, the committee can be formed in (3×3×5) = 45 ways.

By 45 ways the committee be selected if it must have at least a C.A. and a lawyer .
