Solution:
Given,
For concave lens,
f = -0.4/2 = -0.2 m
h1 = 0.2 m
u = -0.8 m
By using mirror formula,
1/f = 1/v + 1/u
=> 1/v = 1/f - 1/u
=> 1/v = -1/0.2 + 1/0.8
=> v = -0.27 m
Now,
By using formula of magnification,
m = - ( v / u ) = h2 / h1
=> -0.27 / 0.8 = h2 / 0.2
=> h2 = 0.067 m
A diminished, real and inverted image is formed.
