⇒ Surface Area of walls = 2H×(L+B)

                                        = 2×4×(14+8)

                                        = 8×22

                                        = 176 m²

⇒ Area of walls to be painted = Area of 4 walls - (Area of 4 windows +                Area of 1 door)

                                                  = 176 m² - [4×(1×1.5) + 1×(1×2)]

                                                  = 176 m² - [6 + 2]m²

                                                  = 176 m² - 8 m²

                                                  = 168 m²

⇒ Litres of paint required for 18 m²   = 1 L

   Litres of paint required for 168 m² = 168÷18

⇒ Cost of 1 Litre paint            = Rs. 225
