A conical tent is 16m high and the diameter of its base is 24m. find the cost of canvas required to make the tent, if cost of 1m× m canvas is Rs 210.

height of a conical tent=16m
Diameter=24m

we know that ,
radius is half of the diameter .
radius=24/2
radius=12m.

slant height=?
we \: know \: that

 {l}^{2}  =  {r}^{2}  +  {h}^{2}
 {l}^{2}  =  {12}^{2}  +{  16}^{2}

 {l}^{2}  = 144 + 256

 {l}^{2}  = 400

l = 20m

NOW,
The canvas will be used on the curved surface area of conical tent.

Curved surface area of cone =πrl
=22/7×12×20
=22/7×240
=22×34.29
=754.38sq .cm

The cost of canvas required to make the tent at the rate of ₹210
754.38×210
=1,58,419.80₹

THEREFORE,
cost \: of \: canvas \: required \: to  \\ make \: tent \:   is \: 158419.8 \: rupees
