As u know that focal length of convex mirror is positive....

Given that - R = 3 m

F = R / 2 = 3 / 2 = 1.5 m

U = -5 m

by mirrors formula ,

1 / F = 1 / V + 1 / U

1 / 1.5 = 1 / V - 1 / 5

1 / V = 1 / 1.5 + 1 / 5

1 / V = 10 / 15 + 1 / 5

1 / V = ( 10 + 3 ) / 15

1 / V = 13 / 15

V = 15 / 13

V = 1.15 metre.

M = - V / U = - 1.15 / - 5 = 0.23 m
