The rise edge of given cube = 9cm.

So, the volume will be 729cm^3

Let the rise in the water level be 'a' cm.

The volume of the cube = the volume of the water displaced by it.

  • 15cm*12cm*a
  • 729=15*12*a
  • a=729/180
  • a=4.05

The rise in the water level is 4.05cm.
