Given
p(1)=1
p(2)=p(1)+p(1)=1+1=2
p(3)=p(1)+p(2)=1+2=3
p(6)=p(2)+p(4)=2+5=7

I hope this will help you ....

sanjana87: p(x)=k(x-1)(x-2)(x-3)+x
sanjana87: we can find k from
sanjana87: p(4)=k(4-1)(4-2)(4-3)+4=5
sanjana87: k=1/6
sanjana87: now plug in x=6
sanjana87: we get
sanjana87: p(x)=(6-1)(6-2)(6-3)/6+6=5
sanjana87: *4*3/6+6=10+6=16
sanjana87: now its ok
sanjana87: thanks
