given,
TSA=40m²
=>2(lb+bh+lh)=40m²
=>lb+bh+lh=20m²..................(1)

LSA=26m²
=>2h(l+b)=26m²
=>h(l+b)=13m²
=>lh+bh=13m²..........................(2)

substitute (2) in (1)
=>lb+13=20m²
=>lb=7m²
area=lb=7m²

Hey there !!

➡ Given :-

→ TSA of cuboid = 40 m² .

→ LSA of cuboid = 26 m² .

➡ To find :-

→ Area of the base .

▶ Answer:

We have,

LSA of cuboid = 26m² .

=> 2( l + b )h = 26 .

=> 2lh + 2bh = 26 ............(1) .

▶Now,

TSA of cuboid = 40m² .

=> 2( lb + bh + hl ) = 40 .

=> 2lb + 2bh + 2hl = 40 .

=> 2lb + 26 = 40. [ Using (1) . ]

=> 2lb = 40 - 26 .

=> 2lb = 14 .

=> lb = 14/7 .

•°• lb = 7 m² .

✔✔ Hence, area of base is 7 m² ✅✅.
