Heat produced = Power × Time
= i²R × t
= (4 A)² × 100 Ω × 15 min × 60 s/min
= 1440000 Joule
= 1.44 mega joule

Heat produced is 1.44 mega joule.

Given - Current, resistance and time.

Find - Heat produced

Solution - Heat produced in calories is 344168.26 calories.

The formula to be used here is -

H = I²RT.

Firstly converting in seconds.

1 minute = 60 seconds

15 minutes = 60*15

15 minutes = 900 seconds

Keeping the values in formula to find the value of heat produced.

Heat produced = 4²*100*900

Heat produced = 1,440,000 Joules

Heat produced = 1.44*10⁶ Joules

Heat produced in calories = 344168.26

Thus, heat produced is 344168.26 calories.
