GIVEN:

A customer gave 2000 rupee fake note to a shopkeeper and bought a shoe worth 350/-

TO PROVE:

Actual loss

SOLUTION:

The actual loss of the shopkeeper is 4000

Let’s consider a transaction box, the customer came with a fake note of Rs.2000 whose value can be considered as 0.

Now the customer took goods valued at Rs.350 along with the change of

Rs.1650 (change given by the shopkeeper 1).

The shopkeeper 1 has a loss of Rs.2000 here.

Now other shopkeeper 2 returned the 2000 note and shopkeeper 1 returned the original one from his pocket.

Loss of 2000 again.

Total loss of the shopkeeper is Rs.4000
