✪Correct Question:

A cylinder has a radius of 12 cm and height of 15 cm. Find it's total surface Area And Lateral surface area .

Given:

  • Radius of a cylinder, r = 12 cm

  • Height of a cylinder, h = 15 cm

To find out:

Find the total surface area and Curved surface area.

Formula used:

  • Total surface area of cylinder = 2r( h + r )

  • Curved surface area of cylinder = 2rh

Solution:

( i ) Total surface area of cylinder = 2r( h + r )

= 2 × 22/7 × 12 ( 15 + 12 )

= 2 × 22/7 × 12 × 27

= 14,256/7

= 2036.57 cm²

( ii ) Curved surface area of cylinder = 2rh

= 2 × 22/7 × 12 × 15

= 7920/7

= 1131.42 cm²

Given:

• Radius of a cylinder, r = 12cm

• Height of a cylinder, h = 15cm

To find out:

Find the total surface area of curved surface area.

Formula used:

• Total surface area of cylinder = 2r(h + r)

• Curved surface area of cylinder = 2rh

solutions:

(1) Total surface area of cylinder = 2r(h + r)

=2 × 22/7 × 12(15 + 12)

=2 × 22/7 × 12 × 27

=14,256/7

=2036.57cm²

(2) Curved surface area of cylinder = 2rh

= 2 × 22/7 × 12 × 15

= 7920/7

= 1131.42cm².
