Volume of the cube = 5x5x5 = 125 cm³

The volume of water displaced = volume of the cube

The radius of the cylinder = 7/2 = 3.5 cm

⇒ 22/7 x (3.5)² x h = 125
38.5h = 125

h = 125/38.5 = 3.25 cm

the water will rise by 3.25 cm

the new height of water will be 12 + 3.25 = 15.25 cm
