Answer:

1193.2 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN THAT

radius of cylinder (r) = 10cm

height of cylinder (h) = 14cm

To find :-

Total surface area of cylinder

We know that

t.s.a of cylinder = 2×pie×r(h+r)

but, vessel is open at top

hence, t.s.a of cylinder = 2×pie×r(h+r) - pie×r^2

putting the values

:- 2×3.14×10(14+10) - 3.14×10^2

:- 2×3.14×10×24 - 3.14×100

:- 1507.2 - 314

:- 1193.2 cm^2

Note

* we subtracted pie× r^2 because vessel is open at top and the surface area of top of the vessel is (pie ×r^2)
