Q.1 Define force . write it's SI unit.

=> Force is an interaction that change motion of an object.

The SI unit of force is the newton, symbol N.

Q.2 A 5kgwt has a base area of 1m^2 . Find the pressure exerted by it on the ground. Take 1kgwt = 10N.

Answer

Formula :

p =  \frac{f}{a}

Where, p=pressure

f=excerted force

a=cross sectional area

Given

f=5N

a=1m^2

Therefore

P=5/1 N/m^2=5 pascal

Q.3 Two friends A and B are applying a force of 2 Newton and 4 Newton on a box in the same direction. What will be the total force applied by them?

Answer

The total net force is 6N = 6 Newton.

ANSWER :-

1) Define Force?

☄ Force is a push or pull which comes into play when there is an interaction of one object with another object .

S.I unit of force is Newton (N)

Note = 1 Newton = 1 kg × 1 m/s².

2) A 5 kg weight has a base area of 1 m². find the pressure exerted by it on the ground [1 kg = 10 N]?

➣ Thrust = 5 kg = 5 × 10 N = 50 N

➣ Are of contact = 1 m²

Pressure (P) = Thrust (F)/Area (A)

➣ 50 N / 1 m²

➣ 50 N/m² = 50 Pascal.

Hence pressure is 50 pascal.

3) Two friends A and B are applying a force of 2 N and 4 N on a box in the same direction. what will be the total force applied by them. [ Net Force ]

➣ Let F1 = 2 N

➣ Let F2 = 4 N

Net force = F1 + F2

➣ 2 N + 4 N

6 N.

Hence the net force is 6 Newton
