Let the square be ABCD .

So , Diagonal , AC = 70 m

Now , In rt. ∆ ABC ,

AC² = AB² + BC²

=> 70² m² = AB² + BC²

=> 70² m² = AB² + AB ² [ Since , ABCD is a square , So , AB = BC = CD = DA ]

=> 2(AB²) = 4900m²

=> AB² = 2450 m²

=> AB = √2450 m²

=> AB = 49.5 m .

So , Length of the side of lot = 49.5 m
