Please define Sin Cos Tan

Sin - An immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law.

Cos - A lettuce of a variety with crisp narrow leaves that from a tall head.

Tan - A golden brown shade of skin developed by pale - skinned people after exposure to the sun.

These are the trigonometric identities in Mathematics.

  • sin(θ) = (Opposite side of the angle θ)/(Hypotenuse). {Sine – name used by AryaBhatta.}
  • cos(θ) = (Adjacent side of the angle θ)/(Hypotenuse). {Cosine.}
  • tan(θ) = (Opposite side of the angle θ)/(Adjacent side). {Tangent.}

By observation, these are the relationship between the side and angle of a right angled triangle.

You can easily remember it by "S-O-H-C-A-H-T-O-A".
