Let us consider marked price as M.

Discount percentage received on marked price is 12%

Cost of dinner set = Rs. 2464

Discount is always calculated on marked price

Discount amount on purchase = $\frac{12}{100} \times x=\frac{3 x}{25}$

Now to find marked price we use formula given below

Selling Price = Marked Price - Discount amount  

$\begin{array}{l}{2464=x-\frac{3 x}{25}} \\ \\{2464=\frac{22 x}{25}} \\ \\2464 \times \frac{25}{22}=x}\end{array}$

x = Rs.2800  

Marked Price = Rs.2800
