Let the cost of 1- Kg of a goods be = Rs 100. If he earns a profit of 30%, he should sell the goods weighing 1- Kg (1000- g) for Rs 130.

Since he is a dishonest shopkeeper, he sells 900- g (0.9- Kg) of his goods as 1- kg for Rs 130.

So the actual profit percentage is

= (130–90)/90 x 100

= 40/90 x 100

= 44.44%
