Therefore area of door = 2 x 1

Therefore area of wall = 4.5 x 3.6
= 16.2m^2
Area of wall excluding the door = 16.2 - 2
= 14.2m^2
So cost of white washing per metre = Rs 20 per square metre
So total cost = 20 x 14.2
= 18.4 m^2
