one can easily demonstrate the presence of magnetic field lines around a bar magnet using compass needle placed the magnet on a white sheet and markets boundaries on the sheet place the compass near the north pole of the magnet and mark the position of the needle now move the compass such that its south pole occupies the position previously occupied by its north pole repeat this step several times and you will have pattern.
repeat the above producer and draw as many as lines you can these lines represent the magnetic field around the magnet these are known as magnetic field lines.
